Here is a small list of cozy/simulation games that I'm excited for that are currently in development

I'll start with the games still accepting pledges on Kickstarter - PuffPals: Island Skies! Kickstarter states this "is a game about eliciting the nostalgic memories of growing up as a kid; exploring the world and discovering everything for the very first time!".
Some cozy activities include customizing your home, farming, collecting artifacts & foraging out in the wild.

At the time of this post, PuffPals: Island Skies still has 4 days left on Kickstarter. It has exceeded its goal of 75k & is now sitting at over 1.5M+, smashing all it's stretch goals.
There are more stretch goals that can still be achieved including a multiplayer goal! You can consider pledging for some very cool Kickstarter exclusive in-game and physical rewards. This game is set to release 2025 but will have an Alpha and an Early release are expected to release in 2023 and 2024.I, for one, am very excited for this wholesome game and can't wait to continue to follow it development
Next is KISS U, an 18+ dating sim - Its Kickstarter states it's "as 🔥spicy🔥 high fantasy dating sim/arcade puzzler for adults".

I have to say, I already love these datable characters

The game's art is by NYT best-selling comic artist & illustrator, Babs Tarr - best known for her work on Batgirl & Pub Draw (a drawing show on Critical Role's YouTube Channel)

The Kickstarter succeeded its goal of 85k and, at the time of this tweet, has just ended with 3,602 backers pledged $149,787!

The Kickstarter has ended but there is a free demo out now for you to play. The full game is set to release in 2023.
Next up is Mail Time - its Kickstarter has ended but you can add the game to your Wishlist on Steam!

The Kickstarter states, "Mail Time is a delightful Cottagecore adventure all about exploration, collecting hidden secrets, and delivering mail to the woodland creatures of Grumblewood!"
There will be 8 different areas to explore and includes the ability to customize your characters appearance + pronouns!

The Kickstarter exceeded its goal of 20k and ended with 48k+ with 9 stretch goals unlocked. It's scheduled to release in 2022. The game's development can be followed through the Mail Time discord + the developer's (Kela van der Deijl) twitter.
Next up is Coral Island!

Coral Island is described as "a re-imagined farm sim game inspired by classics. Grow crops, nurture animals, and befriend the islanders. Decide whether to revitalize not only the town but also the surrounding coral reefs".

This is another Kickstarter that has already ended but has far surpassed it goal. Original goal of 70k was smashed with an amazing 1.6M+. It hit all of its stretch goals and has already had Kickstarter backers with access to the Alpha test out and give feedback for the game.

If you're someone who loves games like Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and Harvest Moon (now known as Story of Seasons) - this may be the game for you.

I'm excited for many things about this game but I am very excited to explore the environmental awareness aspect of the game - especially with the coral reefs!
The game is scheduled to release in 2022. You can follow the game development through the Coral Island discord and twitter.
Lastly is a game that has chosen not to crowdfund on platforms like Kickstarter but is an indie game in development - Palia!

Palia's website describes the game as "a massively multiplayer online community sim game set in a high fantasy world with robust online multiplayer features and a 3rd person perspective that adds a new layer of depth to the sim genre, Palia gives players a deep community experience in a vibrant living world. As players live a cozy fantasy life, they decide how they fit in, what they want to do, and how they want to play."
Palia does not have a scheduled release date yet but it development can be followed on the developers various social medias - including twitter and discord!
